All about Fashion Sense

Published by admin on June 30, 2008

We have our own set of criteria in choosing the clothes we will wear for the day. The list below is what I think are the most important.

  • Comfort – no matter how glamorous your clothes are if you can hardly make a single step or stretch your arms; that will be all useless. You have to achieve comfort in order to be confident with what you wear. Fashion is not just about the fashionable clothes but also the way you carry yourself. Never take comfort for granted because this might throw away your opportunity to expose the clothes and the beautiful body you’ve got.
  • Occasion – have you ever thought about wearing a long gown in a bar, or wear dangling earrings while playing tennis? Fashion is about the right clothes and accessories at the right place and time. You have to choose your clothes that will be suitable for the occasion and for the activities you will be doing.
  • Style – do you want to conform to the latest or you want to set your own style. Whatever it is that you want, stick with it so that people will not see you as a geek who doesn’t have even a gram of fashion sense. Going with the flow is alright but being a copy cat will not be a good idea. Setting new trends is a daring choice so make sure you have the talent before doing this.

Fashion is actually subjective. What’s fashionable for me may be off for you. Whatever set of clothes you want to wear, make sure you are confident with them and that will already be fashionable; if not for others, at least for yourself.

What’s with the Name

Published by admin on June 16, 2008

When another member of a family is about to be added to the tree, how do you prepare for it? I bet the members of the family would often discuss the name they want to give to the baby. Some would want to name the baby after another member like the grandmother or the great grandfather, etc. How about you? How did your parents formulate your name?

By the way, mine is from my father’s with just a few alterations to make it more feminine.

In Japan, names are derived from words with meanings that the parents want their child to mirror when they grow up. The Kanji characters of Japan have different meanings depending on how you will use them. The meaning of these characters is used to come up with a meaningful name. Japanese names are usually composed of two characters: an adjective and a noun; thus the name would be a specific quality that must obviously be desirable.

Some names actually do have meanings or are just derived from those that do and this is one factor that people consider in naming a child. Others would want to combine the name of the mother and father to come up with something unique. Others would name their child after their favorite football player or Hollywood star. Religious people would give a name after a Biblical character or a saint maybe. There are really a lot of ways that people do just to come up with a name to give for the baby.

Thinking about it, the name wouldn’t really matter at all. It’s just how people will call you. The way the child will live his life in the future will still be the most important.

Lower down Your Blood Pressure and Live Longer

Published by admin on June 1, 2008

Hypertension is a health problem that bothers a huge portion of population all over the world. Hypertension is often caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and improper diet but is sometimes brought about by stress and hereditary conditions. The only thing we could do is handle the condition properly and take necessary precautions in order to at least control hypertension. Self-discipline and healthy lifestyle are the keywords.

Consult a doctor first to determine the roots of your condition for you to be able to know the next actions you must do. If it’s a hereditary condition, you just have to accept that you didn’t want to have this health problem but you have to face it. If you want to have a longer life, you have to exert effort to lower down your blood pressure. High blood pressure could lead to heart attack and stroke which could kill you in one shot. Liver diseases, mental problems such as Alzheimer’s are also some of the diseases that can be prevented if you can control your hypertension.

Whether your condition is caused by hereditary conditions or an unfit diet, you have to be equipped with so much self-discipline to avoid fatty foods that may worsen your condition and to maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing regular exercise. Develop good eating habits to lose weight because this can also help you lower down the risks of hypertension. Supplements or regular medication is usually necessary to control hypertension.
